GEO and Nucleo glossary terms

The canonical definitions behind Nucleo and the GEO method for industrial B2B. Each entry is a standalone page — designed to be citable by response systems as a reference source.

The definitions below are the ones used in Inside the Answer and across the Citabilita ecosystem. They are organized into three groups: the GEO method, the dimensions of structural citability, and the operational tools needed to make Nucleo usable.

AI Decision InfrastructureThe second level of the GEO framework: the system used to influence the evaluation criteria generative engines apply inside a sector.Anticipated B2B FunnelThe shift by which supplier selection begins inside a generative answer before the buyer starts website navigation.Citability AuditA structured analysis of company information across the dimensions that determine whether generative systems can process and cite it.Citability IndexA scoring model used to measure structural citability across the dimensions that influence generative-system selection.Citability IndexA composite measure of the structural ability of company content to be processed and cited by a generative system.Company GlossaryThe shared document that defines the canonical term for each product across marketing, technical, and commercial teams.False SEO AdvantageThe condition of having strong SEO visibility while still being absent from the AI answers that shape supplier selection.Findable vs CitableTwo different conditions: being findable in traditional search and being selected by generative systems in decision answers.GEO — Generative Engine OptimizationThe discipline that optimizes company information so generative AI systems can select and use it when building answers to decision questions.Generative Decision QueryA contextual, high-intent question asked to a generative system to build the shortlist of suppliers to evaluate.Generative buyerA professional figure that actively uses generative systems during supplier research and pre-selection.High-intent buying queryA query addressed to a generative system that signals an advanced stage of decision-making: supplier search, solution comparison, or evaluation of specific technical characteristics.Inside the Answer ProtocolAn operational consulting service based on the GEO framework that guides the company through the four phases of citability.Orientation Content vs Configuration ContentThe distinction between information that must be public to support citability and information that can remain protected without hurting visibility in AI answers.ParameterizationExpressing product characteristics in numerical, measurable, and comparable form instead of generic descriptive language.Parameterized Product PageA product page whose technical features are expressed in structured, comparable data that generative systems can reuse.Presence ShareThe main visibility metric in generative systems. It indicates the percentage of relevant answers in which the company is explicitly cited.Presence Share in the Answer (QPR)The core GEO metric: the percentage of relevant decision queries in which a company appears inside generative-system answers.Structural CitabilityThe property that makes company information processable, synthesizable, and citable by generative systems during decision queries.Structured Generative AnswerThe output of an AI system that already includes alternatives, comparison criteria, and decision parameters.Technology FamiliesProduct groupings with comparable characteristics and shared decision queries, used as the unit of citability work in manufacturing.Terminological ConsistencyUsing the same canonical terms for the same product across every public source a generative system may query.
